Do you fill your 36 gallon tank every time?

Apparently you've never experienced the pump auto shut off malfunction, I have and it wasn't pretty. Just glad it wasn't my $$$ pouring out on the ground (company truck) probably lost 5 gallons before I noticed it, I was sitting in the driver seat and it suddenly occurred to me it's taking longer to click off than usual, looked over and saw fuel spewing out all over the pump and was able to shut it down quickly, now I always watch just incase. Very dangerous situation to just walk away while fueling.

In most states it is against the law to leave a pump unattended.
In some states in the northeast, I can’t remember which ones, a person can’t even fill their own vehicle. The gas has to be dispensed by a pump attendant.

The Hammer
That's New Jersey and it's the dumbest thing ever. It was just them and Oregon (or was it Washington?) either way don't matter cz they repealed it. Just Jersey now that isn't smart enough to pump their own gas. It's extra stupid cz one attendant pumps multiple peoples vehicles and so leaves MULTIPLE tanks unattended (assuming the driver isn't paying attention and they probably aren't cz they have never pumped their own gas)

I get gas every 2 weeks and I wait until my low fuel light comes on and then take my beast to Costco, which is about 8 miles away and always has the cheapest prices in town. I don't use the grocery store gas on my Ecoboost because they aren't Top Tier fuels and I want to keep my engine and turbos as clean as possible.

I hope it never does happen to you cz it won't be fun if it does
Also "new" means nothing. He'll have the time new truck parts are broken when they get put on; hence one of the reasons this forum exists lol helping people diagnose problems that are sometimes caused by DOA "new" parts
