Do people still use radar detectors and CB Radios

No radar detector as I try to rarely speed more than 4 or 5 over the limit. I only go more than that when in heavy fast traffic and well, I'll take my chances.
As for the CB, there's about 8 of us in the community I'm from that have them and use them regularly (at least once a week) Most of us have bases at home as well. Was very helpful when there was no cell signal there. But now it's more for fun and less a necessity. My CB and K30 are in my old F150 as the antenna won't stick to the aluminum.

No one in Memphis drives ONLY 5mph over; if anyone tried that, they'd get rear-ended by a convoy of 18ers. Cops don't care if traffic is moving 15 over, as long as it's the majority.

You are correct...I take I-55 from Marion, AR to Whitehaven everyday. I do my best to stay over 70mph, even in the 55mph zones. And I'm rarely the fastest vehicle out there.

You are not very educated are you on the radar detector scene, so you have some Magic Mojo that lets you know where every cop sits all the time or if they are running I/O in the opposite direction Hmmmmm ok----maybe you should buy a lottery ticket since you know the exact numbers will be pulled

Does anyone remember the Bearcat police detector that came out in the 90s (IIRC)? It was about the size of a radar detector, but it was a mini scanner with no controls. It just scanned the police frequencies, and alerted when those signals were strong enough to indicate there was at least 1 cop within 1 mile. Brilliant! I wish they were still available, but I can understand that there was probably a LOT of gubmint pressure for them to stop making them.

Have any of you guys who are running V1's (or any radar detector for that matter) paired or tried using ALP or a system similar to it before on your F-150 truck?
If so, how well does it perform and what are your thoughts?

RDforum.org may have some better insight to this as they have a few dedicated groups that talk similar subjects.
