Then include it as an option for people like you .....don't force it on others who don't

Freedom of choice....why would you be against it ?

All it does is cause more wear and tear (making money for Ford in repairs and parts....if it is so good and harmless why not a 10 year warranty on parts it affects starters ...batteries....engine wear , bearings for instance ) while creating a "false" warm and fuzzy I'm helping to save the planet feeling .

There is almost zero fuel saving benifits while in real life use.

It is a boondoggle....that only those with zero knowledge of engines and performance like .....IMO

It is not mandated. It is just another trick that OEM's play to show better economy. Whether it works or not.

Not true. It is for emissions ratings, not fuel economy.

I'd rather have auto start/stop than that cylinder deactivation garbage that some of the other manufacturers use.

both really are bad ideas IMO

lot of folks delete that option also

it like a race to see how the manufacturer can mess up an engine more

Everything they do to these engines to save gas seems to make them just a little bit more unreliable.

Chevy AFM-(cylinder deactivation)
Worst...
Idea....
EVER!!!!

That system destroyed the engine in my ‘07 lanche.
Don’t get me wrong, they have good intentions. But being a daily driver in stop/go traffic, I don’t want to use AS/S. Sometimes, I pull the dime out to, well, save a dime or two.
