I for one will take a really serious look at one when they come out. I have a feeling that fuel will be going back up in the next few years and fuel savings will be a factor for me.

I talked to someone who has a Ram Ecodiesel and he said he gets 29mpg on the highway, that's darn good but I suspect it's a bit of a dog compared to a EB.

Heck yea. I love my 3.5 eco. I came out of a f350 6.7. While the eco is great there is still a difference between gas and diesel. When I get in my wifes 2.1 diesel glk I love the motor. If I could only have my 6.7 in the f150!

Well, considering that it is a $4,965 option on the GMC Canyon, how much extra would you pay for the diesel option on an F-150?

Pricing is a bit more ambitious than we’d like, as you have to spec the $30,010 Crew Cab in mid-level SLE trim to unlock the diesel option, which itself costs $4965

Interesting... I had a Powerstroke before this truck and do miss diesels a bit. However, it would take A LOT to pry this truck away from me now. I'd consider it a few years down the road if it made sense. I've only seen (or noticed) one 1500 EcoDiesel on the roads around here.

I would imagine they would be forced to market it around $4500 like the Ram/Jeep does. Our Jeep has the eco diesel and we love it, great mileage and after the initial lag it scoots, plus it rarely downshifts on hills which I attribute to the torque of the motor.
