Default Did I get hosed? (extended warranty)

Bought my '18 XLT Screw 4x4 2.7EB 2 weeks ago. The guy talked me into a maintenance plan and service contract after 15 minutes of badgering me. I thought I had done well negotiating the price down as it was WAY more to start, but reading up on prices here I don't think I did very well. I swear he said both were through Ford. I was looking at my paperwork just now and the maintenance plan is through Ford, but the service contract says "Protective Asset Protection" at the top, not Ford. My F150 is not my daily driver, I only put about 6-7000 miles per year on it. I wasn't going to get the extended warranty but he told me with such little mileage he could offer a 10 year 70,000 bumper to bumper. The negotiated price was $2695. The Maintenance plan through Ford was $1540 for 96 months and 60,000 miles.
Reading the service contract, it looks like I can cancel within 60 days and get a full refund minus $75.
So....
First, is "Protective Asset Protection a reputable company? Google shows mixed reviews.
Second, does Ford offer a service contract that long? That's what attracted me to it, I kept my '07 F150 11 years and sold it with 68000 miles. I was pleased with the thought of bumper to bumper for 10 years.
Advice on how to proceed? Cancel both, buy Ford's longest service contract?
Thanks in advance.

Not sure reading your post but... Is your extended basic warranty a Ford ESP or a third party?

I can speak for the warranty, but not for the maintenance package:
1) I would not go for an extended warranty if it's not the Ford one. Third party warranties = more hassle.
2) I would not buy a Ford ESP at the dealership, unless they match the online price. They make 200-300% of profit out of these, you can easily cut the price by half or more if you buy online. Mine was 2500$ and ended up getting it for 1000$.

Google zeigler ford ESP or flood ford ESP to get an online quote.

Read the fine print in the warranty. You may be able to cancel it and get most of the money back, especially if you do so within 30 days. If you can, there are probably very specific hoops to jump through, because they don't want to make it easy.

When I bought my '11 Lariat, I decided on the 5yr/60,000 mile Premium Care ESP (Extended Service Plan). Extended my Bumper-to-Bumper to 5yr./60,000. Technically, it didn't kick in until I got past the standard 3/36 thou. I did end up using it for some minor issues after the standard warranty expired. That little extra was worth some piece of mind for me. Being on disability, if there was anything major I wouldn't of been able to afford repairs. At the time I think I paid around $900.00 for the plan. As suggested, I'd check on the web for better pricing and switch if at all possible. What you paid sounds a bit high to me as well......

Cancel all that crap immediately!!! If you don't live in Florida you can buy a genuine Ford ESP and a maintenance plan if you like for a lot cheaper. When I bought my 2013 brand new they tried to hose me with all that nonsense. I got a 7yr/100,000 mile Ford premium ESP (best coverage they offer) for $1,100 online at www.floodfordesp.com. I didn't opt for the maintenance plan, just the premium extended warranty. I'd be willing to bet you could also get the maintenance plan for a lot cheaper than the dealer quoted.

Did I mention everything from Flood Ford is genuine Ford not some shady off the wall 3rd party b/s?

P.S. Some people have been successful in getting quotes from Flood and/or Zeigler Ford and taking it to the dealer where they purchased the truck and they price matched but it's rare, when I brought my quote in they nearly did back flips laughing and stated oh no we can't match that.

agreed with others cancel both ASAP and just go buy an actual Ford ESP online for a third of what you paid.

I have 60 days for the third party service contract. I'll cancel it.
the maintenance is thru Ford, that is not worth it either? You don't think I'll use $1600 over 9 years? How much are the big services (50,000 etc)?

I would cancel both and buy the best warranty you can get from Ford themselves.

I work at a dealership here in Fresno, CA and we have a warranty that is good for 200,000 miles. A lot of people go with this option and lots of people see their money back out of the warranty too because it is so long.

A lot of people like this because not too much actually goes wrong on new vehicles these days before 80,000-100,000.

Because of this, lots of dealerships are trying to cash out just before at 60,000-70,000 miles.

Cancel, buy the real deal from Ford

Check the price over at www.floodfordesp.com I'm pretty sure they have the maintenance contracts as well and probably much cheaper. Good at any Ford dealer.

I thought I read that you can't cancel a Ford warranty and then re-buy a Ford warranty on the same VIN??? I won't have a problem with 3rd party service contract, but am I screwed with the maintenance plan through Ford that I already purchased?

Thanks.
