I like this version of the Chevy commercials better...

I'd rather have a steel bed for sure. When I buy landscaping rock they load in into my truck the same way they loaded the cinder blocks into the bed of the F150 in the Chevy Commercial.
I was watching it done yesterday while checking out trees for an upcoming project. I was thinking to myself......That would really mess up that pop can bed in the F150.
Chevy would be smart to use a steel bed. I wish Ford would too. Aluminum is for beer cans not truck beds IMHO.
Steel bed? What's wrong with aluminum? The only time Ford trucks with aluminum beds that actually had punctures were by Chevy. How many "real world" experiences have y'all heard of actually puncturing the bed? In my book, so far none.
Note, Chevy is going aluminum as well but because of their "aluminum bed attacks," they will most likely keep the bed steel.

Chevy originally made fun of Ford's tailgate step. Back when they didn't even have the bumper step.
This happens to be one of my favorite features and one that constantly impresses people. Literally every time I dropped off things at thrift stores or pickup my wife's latest FB swap finds someone will comment on how useful it is.

And now they've filed a patent for their own tailgate step?

Only key things highlighted were: built in bumper step and a steel bed.
Well, that built in step is great if you have small feet. Big feet with big boots, good luck.

Ford doesn't attack Chevy trucks because Ford F-150 is outselling Silverado/Sierra and is also the No 1 sold vehicle in American. Beat that Jack.
Funny how these so called F150 owners in the commercial saying that they may be switching to Chevy. Because of a built in bumper step and still having a steel bed? Those "real actors" are driving a Prius if they are that easily swayed.

Horrible commercial but most are today especially with the auto industry. Most commercials now numb the brain with their stupidity. Regarding the bed, while I an no fan of the aluminum, just guessing, there probably are 1.2+ million 2015/2016 F150's on the road. Seriously, how many of those buyers use their trucks in a way that COULD puncture the bed?
by doing that they are solidifying their place as the market leader in the Truck world.

Those commercials and this one in particular, are really weak. They make two points, if you want to call them that, the bumper step and the bed. That alone says to me they are reaching...... badly. Think what you want about the aluminum bed (personally, I put in a bed liner).
But for me, the real clincher on these commercials being so bad and missing the mark is that it feels like they are pulling teeth to get their shill, paid, actors to even say that they might even check Chevy out.

isn't it always personal preference? i would have considered a Sierra if they had push button start and were a little better on price. they were asking the same money as my F-150 with less options, same with the Tundra. i would never buy a new Silverado, they're butt ugly. my F-150 is also a safer than either truck, i think I made the right choice going with Ford.

In 22 years of driving, I've been stranded on the side of highways three times. All three were in a Chevy truck. And stupid me, I test drove another new 2015 model a couple years ago and it shook so bad on the interstate that I couldn't even have a conversation with the salesman.
Don't tell me that "there is no bad truck these days". Um, yes. Yes there is.
"Mahk" was exactly right in that parody video...starting at about 2:30 and beyond. GM engineering is horrendous compared to the competition, and you really need to own and spend time with all the brands to see it clearly.
