I've never heard of a single heated mirror, and I've never seen that option available. If one has heat, the other will also. Either you don't have heated mirrors, or one is broken.

People, please read your owners manual before you start ranting about "design flaws". It may keep you from looking like a ......
It took me less than 2 minutes to Google 2013 F-150 Owners Manual and find this.
