Default Delay after flooring it

I just bought a 2011 ford f150 xlt 5.0 and when ever I punch it there seems to be about a 2 sec or less delay on the initial pick up. After that she takes off. So my question is, is this normal? should there be that much delay in the timing of my jump? it's obviously still under warranty so i could just take it back and get em to fix it if its wrong but before i do does this seem normal?

i agree, my programmer took almost all of the delay out of punching it. There may still be a little, but its not noticeable like it was when it was stock.

I was told the same thing. I bought a tuner from vmp which is one of the better tuners you can buy and it still has the delay. A lot of people say their tuners pretty much got rid of the delay but I'm pretty sure it's just in their heads. It didn't fix it for me.
