Negotiate from the INVOICE not MSRP/Sticker. Check Edmunds, KBB, etc. to find an approximate invoice price then remember there are over $5000 in incentives right now (check ford.com for your specific region). It is a holiday weekend, end of quarter, and end of month, so they are willing to deal. Good luck!

I just went on Tuesday to help my girl buy a new Ford fusion titanium (ruby red). She had a trade and money to put down. We told the salesman that we were going to start negotiations at factory invoice. Of course, he brought it out and showed it to us ($30Kish) and we offered him $27,500. We finally settled on $28K after 3 times back and forth to his sales manager. Each time, he told me he had no more room to go down on the car...and each time he came back, he was lower on the car!!! Amazing when they want to sell the car, how they find miracle money! Never show all your cards and take your time in negotiations. One more important fact, I was able to negotiate the extended warranty once we were in finance...NEVER take the first option they give you...they are trying to make up the money they just negotiated away in the deal!!

Buy the Ford one, not a generic one. The Ford one is backed by Ford, the generic one's goal is to spend the least. Which means when you need OEM panels and parts, good luck.

Watch out with what they are doing. The 12K includes the factory package discounts as part of the "great deal". This is a common practice to help buyers think they are getting a better deal than they actually are.
