There is no such thing as an emission system clean. Find a new dealer.

I'd be surprised if they even did that much.

Your emission system has a federally mandated warranty for 8 years and 80k miles. Show it to them in your owners manual and have them perform it for free. Play hardball.

Good luck with that, I think that is for failed parts only.

Same dealer would have me recommend oil change to old ladies with vehicles that had less than 1500 miles on them. Service manager loved BG products(known snake oil crap) because he was getting obscene kickbacks on. Examples of crap I put up with till I left: Trans service on vehicles with 25K miles or less, fuel system clean every 10k miles, power steering fluid flush less than 36k miles. List goes on to infinity, finally told him to KMA and walked.

Some case worker from Ford called. He had never heard of that either and tried contacting the Service Manager with no luck. He was going to look into it and call me back on Monday after he talked to some "experts" at Ford (I'll let you know what happens here). The Dealer did call back and said after resetting the computer and cleaning the throttle body (for free), runs like a charm. I'm sure they knew Ford was sniffing around, so I figured something like a miracle was going to happen. It is amazing you have to go thru this stuff just so you don't get screwed. The old "I think your Johnson rod needs replacing" scam...

Did they offer you free blinker fluid exchange too?

Maybe they plan on running a brush through the tailpipe to clean out the soot deposits?
