Default Dark blue pearl metallic XLT 2wd and plastidip

I didn't find much searching for dark blue pearl metallic trucks touched up with plastidip so I figured I'd start a thread. Not sure how far this experiment is going to go but to day we did wheels, bumpers, and emblems. Here's the before and after....

Looks really good. I'm doing the same thing this weekend. Ordered the plastidip this past weekend. Did u use spray cans or a sprayer to apply it? And how did u prep the bumpers?

Nicely done, I like how you left the chrome grill.............lots of people get carried away and make their XLT look like a XL.

I used the spray cans, took 3 for the wheels and bumpers but I think "more is preferable to less" so I'd go for 4 cans if I were doing it again. Thicker looks better and then will peel off easier than thinner. I did put on 5-6 thin coats though. 8-10 minutes between coats.

Prep work...I just washed it at the car wash and wiped the bumpers and wheels with a cloth. There is a prep spray...I might get that too but I sorta forgot about it.

I masked some parts with three strips of 2" masking tape, other parts I put up some newspaper. Got some overspray on the paint but it just wiped off with a microfiber cloth really easily.

Stuff is kinda neat....peels off along edges remarkable well.

I was going to do that but a gal at work was pretty sure I should leave the grill and I figured she knew more about style than I did LOL.
