Thanks! Wow, that seems pretty substantial...I would be looking at a Lariat with 502A, 5.0V8, Tow pkg (not max)....chrome package w/sport pkg upgrade...and tailgate step. SuperCrew 4x4.

For instance: I took the front grille off and inserted a 'Black Powder Coated stainless steel' grille insert and then put the grille back on.... got rid of the original Big Bear Edition Hood and replaced it with a paint-to-match OE Mopar Power Dome Hood, and some other things....it is cool to personalize. Trucks and Wranglers have to be the most customizable vehicles on earth.'
Jeep looks awesome.

As far as discount off MSRP, yes the general consensus as stated above is $7,000 - $10,000 less than MSRP. I would target that.

Re: Mods, if you do move forward with a truck and don't "love" the ride, I wouldn't hesitate to swap out the shocks. That's probably one of the single most popular and common mods people do to improve the truck. There are countless threads on here about all the options. They're "relatively" inexpensive and would not affect your warranty or anything like that. Keep in mind they're an upgrade over stock of course. You're making the truck better. Obviously go ahead and drive the truck stock for a while to get a feel for it, but if you decide you want a better ride, just know that it's available to you quite easily. And make sure to get 17" or 18" wheels so that you have more sidewall for cushioning.

That seems like a great idea - - softer shocks....I never would have thought of that. I wonder how that works with the front strut springs? I assume that might be a big job??

the 10sp has rather advanced algorithyms. It needs to learn your style of driving. Smooth throttle use is rewarded on the 3.5EB. No issues for me.

It''s an easy job. Any shop can do it. The front comes as one-piece that you just swap in for the stock one. Bilstein is a popular brand, it looks like this (this comes as a package with both front and both rears).

Several people have mentioned Bilsteins in this thread. Seems to have gone unheard up until now.....

It took me every bit of 3 seconds to determine a 3rd grader designed the GM interiors and did it with the cheapest parts in the bin. To each his own, and I couldn't care less what anyone else drives, but I love my F150 and glad I bought it.
Same here, I have had my 2018 Lariat and have 0 complaints. I am happy I sold my 12" FX4. I have no need for towing so I opted again for the 5.0. No regrets there either. I have had plenty of friends who typically endorse other brands and have them thinking blue oval for their next truck.

You've provided specific examples which at least allows us to help address your concerns.

Like I'd mentioned earlier, you can modify to get a real cushy ride. 17 or 18" wheels with a simple swap of the front coil springs for a softer version with upgraded shocks front and rear will give you an amazingly cushy ride. To overuse the term, yes, mine "rides like a Cadillac". Speed bumps and potholes are nonexistent to me, let alone just bumps in the road. I built my truck that way. I'm sure people on here will help chime in with specifics for your particular truck. Thanks for your new post. I personally appreciate it.
What suspension? I was thinking of Blistens 5100 and RAS because I Tow some. Not sure that would help or hurt my ride. Thanks

I have Fox 2.5 Remote Reservoir coilovers in the front and Fox 2.0's in the back. I'm also on 37" tires on 18" wheels, so there's a huge amount of sidewall to cushion the bumps. It's an off-road setup so probably overkill for a truck that doesn't need to go off-road, but it is a super-comfortable ride. But there are companies out there that can make custom springs for whatever ride you'd like.

I've had Bilstein shocks on a previous truck (a Ford Ranger) and they were awesome.
