Default Customer satisfaction and quality

Picked up my 2016 F150 lariat, 3/2/21, dealer performed TSB 20-2307 to address IWE grinding, lots of feedback from members on this subject. To sum up the TSB states to cap check valve and vacuum source, throw away the vac line that is removed, see page two of the TSB...this will permanently engage front hubs...thus the grinding will stop. Ford must not be interested in finding the root cause that affects so many F150 4x4. But guess what, Ford Motor Company claims to be ISO Certified 9001...this certification relates to quality among other things like customer satisfaction. I work for a company with ISO 9001 and I am an Internal Auditor...I know a little about the certification. If interested goggle ISO 9001 and focus on customer satisfaction clause. One basic concept of ISO is "Say what you do and do what you say." ...DO NOT DEVIATE from standard. My truck came off the assembly line in 2 wheel drive with the IWE actuators disengaged. After TSB 20-2307 has been performed my truck is not operating as designed and built. Quality? Should I be satisfied with this...I will not call it a fix. My truck is under warranty and dealer followed the TSB...do not hold them responsible. Should I confront Ford...maybe all affected members should. If you made it this far with my rant thanks guys.

If you can get Ford to do a root cause correction then you ought to win something. Many many many threads on here on this issue and how it is not really a fix.

Thanks for the reply, I think I read all the grinding IWE info, just trying to bring attention that Ford, and I like fords, is hoping all of us will just roll over. I had this problem at 30k and 53k, in shop four times. Take care.

So this "fix" will have the axles rotating all the time even if not engaged with the transfer case. Some people say this will decrease the MPG.(?) and cause more wear on other parts. Looks like a cheap fix.

Not a fix at all in my book. I bought my truck to get it's mpg rating and last as long as it should last. That 'fix' changes both of those.
