Could use some help purchasing
I am currently driving a 2012 5.0 FX2 SuperCrew. Thinking about giving it to my son for a really good deal and getting a 2015 EcoBoost Platinum SuperCrew.
What are your thoughts on 5.0 or EcoBosst? What would you Pay for one right now since the 2016 will be coming out in maybe 3 months or so? Here is one that i received a price quote and options. Thanks in advance. I like between Ingot Silver/Black, White/black, or Magnetic Metallic/Black 2015 Ecoboost with 5.5 bed and Platinum options: $53,000 and truck is listed on sticker $63,400 2015 FORD F-150 PLATINUM Color: WHITE PLATINUM METALLIC TRI-COAT Interior: BLACK LEATHER SEATS Miles: 11 Engine: 3.5L V6 CYLINDER ENGINE TURBOCHARGED Drivetrain: FOUR WHEEL DRIVE Stock#: Options: --ACTIVE PARK ASSIST --BLACK; BLACK UNIQUE MULTI-CONTOUR LEATHER BUCKET SEATS --ELECTRONIC LOCKING W/3.55 AXLE RATIO --ENGINE: 3.5L V6 ECOBOOST --EQUIPMENT GROUP 701A LUXURY --EXTENDED RANGE 36 GALLON FUEL TANK --FRONT LICENSE PLATE BRACKET --FX4 OFF-ROAD PACKAGE --MAX TRAILER TOW PACKAGE --PRICED DORA --TRANSMISSION: ELECTRONIC 6-SPEED AUTOMATIC --TWIN PANEL MOONROOF --WHITE PLATINUM METALLIC TRI-COAT -- SPRAYED BEDLINER |
My 2015 Platinum equipped the same way as yours, except min is the Magnetic Metallic, on X-Plan invoice was just a hair over $59,000 in July. I bought mine just before they started to roll out $10,000 off on certain models. Looks like a reasonable discount.

For touch-ups I use the Meguiar's Quik Deatailer. As long as the paint isn't too soiled, I use this to get dust off to maintain appearance between washings. Winter hasn't hit here yet in Colorado, so I'll end up having longer runs between waxes because of the cold and snow. It's just typically not practical to do a full wash/wax during the winter here unless we have an unseasonably warm day which does happen, but I'll do maintenance waxing with Ultimate Quik Wax. I'll end up utilizing the self-serve spray wash places during the winter since they heat their water so I can still do a hand wash on the "warmer" days and wax at home. Even through a few rains this summer and the road grime on the paint, the truck still looks largely clean - thanks to the wax and maintenance I do. Be interesting to see what happens this winter with the snow . |
It looks like you are getting the rebates that you get when your finance through ford credit. Plus, It also sounds like they pulled the 4k plus worth of profit as well. We are doing the same thing to just move these trucks. If anyone has any purchasing questions, as a salesman, I would love to help!
