Default Could i wire up a cb radio woth this?

Have a 2006 f150 xlt. I have rails on the headliner of my truck. When you take the sunglasses holder off if it there is a hole in the roof with a wire. I am guessing that the wire is used for a DVD player. I am wondering if I could use that to wire up a cb radio and mont the radio in the sunglasses holder. How can I cheek too see if the wire has power?
Thanks.
I'll pose pics of it wen I get back to the truck

You have to confirm that the wires have 12Volts and that they are not linked with the radio in some way. It's possible there would only be power to them with the radio on OR using a radio that had remote CD changer. These wires could also be for additional lighting, not included with your trim package, which would be OK.
Your CB may only draw 2 to 3 amps (confirm) so you should be OK on load.

Didn't even know they made cb radios any more. Burt Reynolds could possibly help.

The majority of OTR Truckers use them in the USA.

I travel the PA turnpike frequently & you get notifications where the speed traps are, where/what traffic congestion is......The only speaking I do on it is the courtesy police location notifications.

Believe it or not there are still places in our great nation that do not have cell service like much of central Idaho and into Montana. A CB is your only source of emergency communication on the road.
You city boys just take it down a notch and let's help this young man. LOL
