Default Chrome Straches Repair?

This is the driver's side of the rear bumper, finished in chrome. Is there anything I can do to fix or at least make it less noticeable?

Thanks.

I’d try chrome polish first with a buffer.

if that don’t work 0000 steel wool. I’ve used that on my Harley pipes it works. Found that trick on Harley forums.

Hard to tell if there is something on top of the chrome that needs to be removed or is the chrome gone . . . .
