Chirp/sqeal With No Drive Belt

Never had a problem with this whistle until i replaced the upper and lower radiator hoses. To easily access the "y" connector I had to take the TB off. Now she's screaming around 1700 rpm. So it must be correlated to the TB.

An easy way to tell where the bad sounds are coming from, while the eng. is running, is to take a broom stick (about 3 to 4 ft.)and carefully hold it touching the pulley housing or alt. ect. and hold the other end of stick close to and in contact with your ear. The sound will travel thru the stick to your head or ear , and you can hear the pulley running. Take caution with fans and belts.

08 5.4 issues
I read a few posts on misfire problems on 5.4. I have already changed plugs, coils, cats, and a couple injectors and still having issues. Anyone know what else it could be?

I have a 1997 Ford Explorer AWD 5.0 XLT. It had about 198k miles on it when it started making a chirping noise it was driving me nuts. Started out intermittently and got progressively worse. I changed belts, pulleys, tensioners, alternator, water pump and to no avail. I was on a forum for Explorers and just happened to come across a post about a chirping noise. It went on to say the cam shaft position sensor was the issue. I am not sure if the setup is the same but Iimagine it is close. On the 5.0 Explorer the motor block the cam shaft position sensor takes the place of the distributor. The bearing has no way to be lubricated and wears out. Poor design on Ford I think but I love all the Fords I have. I went out and checked it. What I found was crazy. The cam sensor was completely destroyed I purchased a new sensor until the whole assembly came in. I bought a replacement assembly from Rock auto and that took care of the problem.
