Default Check Engine light

I got a used 2010 F150 last week. I road it all week to work and back with no problem. Yesterday I took it on a longer ride and at about 75 miles the Check Engine Light came on. It stayed on after a couple stops but this morning it did not come back on. Any one have an idea why it would do that? Instruments never showed a oil pressure, heat or charging problem.

You can try an obdII scanner that can read pending codes, it may come up.
