Carseats: 3 Wide?
Has anyone installed 3 car seats in the rear seat? Any pics?
Also, can anyone share pics of how to properly use the upper tether? I read the owner manual online, but am not clear on how the car seat hook tether will connect to the truck's tether strap.
I am looking into purchasing a 2015 F-150 SuperCrew XLT. I know 3 car seats will fit across, but I am concerned with 2 infant seats that require LATCH.
This website https://www.cars.com/articles/2015-f...1420680718740/ states 3 will fit, but grades "Infant" as an "F" due to the seat length not covering at least 80 of the car seat base.
My wife's MDX fits all 3 seats, so that is the daily driver for the kids, and sufficient for most road trips. One of the reasons that I am looking at a new truck is to be able to fit all 3 kids if needed. I suppose they won't be in infant seats forever.
(3 year old and a set of 6-month old twins, in case you were wondering)
Thank you in advance!

If/when I find a truck that meets my needs, I'll post pics of the car seat install for those that may benefit.

I have 2 car seats, 1 on each outer seat, and I've used a 3rd in the middle.
The outer one's have the bars inside the seat base for the car seat clasps.
The center section does not. So you will need to use the seat belt for the center.
Be careful though, and cover the center seats buckle button or you run the risk
of kids accidentally releasing it when they try to undo theirs on the outer passenger side.
My son did this when my other son was an infant and he didn't know it, and I stopped
and my infants carseat lurched forward without restraint and freaked me out.

3 wide - no problem!
Middle seat: Britax Boulevard convertible; attached with seatbelt and upper tether, which is looped through strap directly behind the middle seat and connected to strap on outside seat
Outer seats: Chicco Keyfits; currently using car seat bases which are attached with LATCH system

Man you got a handful there, we spaced our kids 4 yrs apart and only 2. Both are grown and have their own families now, 3 grand kids.
Empty nest now mom and dad get to play again LOL.

Just an FYI - knotting the belt like it appears to be on top picture isn't great.
Also - so your wife either has amnesia or can't say no?
