Don't go through car washes that have brushes. All they do is put swirl marks and scratch your paint.
Touchless is only one to go through if you have no time to wash yourself correctly.
Can also always buy stubby antenna

I should have been clearer - the air-driven whistlers are pretty useless.. There are electronic-based devices that make sounds far superior to something that is dependent on the speed of your car, which the inverse relationship is bad to begin with. The faster you go, the louder the sound, but the faster you go, the greater the chance you'll hit one due to higher speed and not being able to stop in time.
The bottom-line is to be careful driving from dust to dawn when deer [nocturnal] forage most of the time, and in the night time slow-down in deer prone areas. However, many forestry agencies, trucking companies and other that use the electronic devices have lower statistical accidents enough that insurance companies will lower their premiums if they use them - follow the money trail.
As they say, "Nothing Runs like a Deer(e), and nothing works better than a 'lead-pill'".

I go through those washes about every two weeks, never removed my antenna, and it's fine. The worst that can happen is you have to bend it back a little.

Bunch stations around here no issues.
Up north few stations that get with normal antenna picked up no problems with the stubby.

What is the technological guarantee w the stubby antenna? The delta in quality should be negligible, if not, then what's the warranty? I would have both antennae and plug & play both of them in the same parked position & see which one works best? Do this in multiple locations, take notes & post back.
