Default Can you find a vehicle after 4 years

I traded my 05 Supercab about 4 yrs ago. I was wondering if there is any way of locating it after all this time.

If you have the VIN and a friend that will run it for you then yes. Otherwise it's going to be difficult.

Try googling the VIN. If the vehicle is or was recently listed as for sale the listing should pop up.
If it’s not on the market then you may be out of luck getting an actual name or address of the current owner...

I randomly search the VIN on old vehicles. I traded a 2002 F-250 SD in 2011 (PA) and found it for sale at a Ford Dealership in MO this December. If it was 1/2 the cost, I might have repurchased it..

I also found our 2011 Explorer (motor blew & dealer shipped it to auction) onon small car lot 100 miles away.

True! I could never remember a VIN, but sometimes when I’m cleaning out a file cabinet or desk drawer, I’ll come across old paperwork on a vehicle I got rid of before.

Found a piece of paper from State Farm once that had the VIN for my old Buick Riviera that I drove the wheels off. Nearly 400,000 miles on the all original drive train. I did one of those donate your car to charity programs, running or not. I got my money and use out of it ($1500 and 100,000 miles) so I wasn’t losing anything by donating it.

It was not a runner, so it was towed away. I googled the VIN and it popped up as being sold in auction to a scrapyard. I was mostly curious if somebody was able to buy it at auction and get it going again! Looks like it reached the end of the line for that old Buick!

If you have the same insurance carrier, you may have better luck asking them.
Also, your state's title & licensing department may be helpful.

Will you shed some light on why you want to track it?

After you find the VIN put it in this link. At least you might find what city and state it's in or even which car lot it might be on https://www.vehiclehistory.com/
