Thank you for your responses and suggestions folks. According to Ford's dealer locator, there are only 5 Ford dealers within 100 miles from where I live. I have only visited 1 dealership. No 2013 6.2L Lariat available. I looked at the other 4 dealer's website and none showed 6.2L, with the Max Tow package. I will drive down to the other 4 dealerships this weekend probably and speak to a sales rep in person.

I also have another matter I need to bring down the table IF I find the F150 that I want. We have a 2006 Hummer H3 with 90K miles that we want to trade in. We have few months of payments left (balance of 4K). According to KBB and Ford's trade-in calculator, we should get anywhere between $6-12K in trade-in value, depending on the dealership's final trade-in offer. Since we are seriously thinking of getting a F150, we would rather trade it in now to avoid those few more remaining payments, and start paying for the F150. I hope to get the MOST trade-in value.

The search continues...

Unfortunately, you are a customer that the dealers salivate over.

They can, and will, make the numbers so confusing that you will need a CPA to figure out the best deal for you.

The first problem is that if you do a deal now, on a 2014, they won't guarantee your trade-in value after the 6-8 weeks until the truck shows up. Unless, of course, they low-balled your trade-in so much that they won't care.

Generally, on an 8 year old vehicle with 90k on it, the dealer estimates the value at low book wholesale, and they will wholesale it out. Good for them, bad for you.

You might have better luck going to a dealer that is willing to do a search for the 2013 you want, and will bring it in for you. At least you could close the deal all at once.

Best of luck in your shopping.

Sell the Hummer yourself! They will kill you on trade-in and flip it for $15k or more. They aren't making these anymore, and people still want them.

Trust me, I thought I got a decent trade in only to see my dealer list my trade, sell it and make $5k in a day.

I found couple of 6.2L Lariat with the
Max Tow Package, but none have the Heady Duty Load Package. Based on my research, the HD package should give me about 500lbs extra load rating. Not
sure if I should get the 2013 or order a 2014 (and Not get the redates and incentives).

If the dealership gives me 12.5K as trade value for my
H3, that is acceptable in my book. But I doubt it. Will know for sure when I take the H3 to the dealership this weekend.

You can't get the heavy duty payload package with the 6.2. You can only get it with the 5.0 or the 3.5. I have it in the 5.0 crew.
