Calipers Not Releasing
Hello,
I Have A 97 F150 2wd. When I Recently Replaced The Front Pads, The Right Side Calipers Where Extremely Hard To Get Released. Now The Truck Pulls Hard To The Left When Braking And I Can Smell The Right Side Brakes Burning. I Replaced The Caliper On That Side But That Did Not Change Anything. Can Anyone Offer Me Any Insight? Thanks, Richard S |
Welcome to the site. I've been reading alot of threads and posts about the brake lines (flex lines) colapsing. Scan through here and you'll see what I'm referring too. It seems fluid under pressure will get into the calipers (braking action) but be restricted on return. Hope this helps.

Replace the front brake hoses first. IF that takes care of your problem cool if ot replace the front calipers.
