Buying a truck for the first time...help!
Never purchased a new truck. Found a 2015 that I think has everything I want/need.
A few questions... Do I need the v8. I tow about twice a month about 4 tons.
Am I missing anything on this truck that is vital? Is there a huge difference between the 15 and 16?
I gues one other question...am I getting a good deal? I have them giving me $4000 for my 11 year old Saab and with incentives etc I am out the door for $39,262. Sticker below.
Thanks for helping a novice.

I think you're getting a pretty good deal. (Comparing to prices in my area, can't speak for yours) You don't need the V8, but hell; why not. Just make sure all TSB's and recalls are looked into.

3.31 gears with the 5.0 towing 8000 pounds? I'm not so sure you'll be happy with that long-term. I know you said twice a month but that is not exactly infrequent in my opinion. I suppose the terrain you are towing could make a large difference, and also how far. The little ecoboost motors just have more grunt down low that really helps.
Just know that the 5L motor likes to rev when towing and I guess you'll be okay. To be fair, I just ordered a 24' Car hauler to tow behind my 5.0 with 3.55 gears and it should come in around the same weight as yours, or slightly more, and I'm not too concerned.

When you say "out the door" does that include the trade? Think of trade-ins as just a different form of currency you are using to pay for the truck. When I negotiate, "out the door", is the final price of the vehicle after rebates plus TTL. The payment for that figure is cash (or loan proceeds) + the value of my trade (if any).
