Buying my first F-150 tomorrow! Quick Question

You should pay off the loan as soon as possible. Even better - don't take out a loan in the first place. Buy a vehicle you can afford (pay cash for). Save your money and when you have enough to buy a better vehicle, instead buy something that will make you money, like an apartment building. If you get in the habit of living within your means, before long you will be enjoying a better standard of living. It's a rotten trap to pay someone to allow you to use their money. When you get caught in this trap, it's really tough to get out.
Of course, borrowing to finance a necessity like health care or borrowing to get money to invest in a venture that will be profitable even with borrowed money is a whole different deal.

I'm sure it took you longer to screen shot and post that than it would to have just answered my question... And what exactly would I have searched for? Ford Rebate Penalty?

I did answer your question quite accurately in post #9 in the thread. You're welcome!

Nice advice, Legendsk, but...
(1) Probably not everyone has the cash to just go out and buy a truck like you appear to.
(2) I don't know about others, but I sure did like that additional $1,000 that Ford gave me for financing with them (although I only financed ~$4,000)

and yes, you could have typed "FORD REBATE PENALTY" into the search box and have gotten 26 results in threads that answer the same question instead of the phrase "Ford Credit $1,000 Rebate Penalty" as I did (that resulted in only 11).
My point was, you could have had the question answered accurately with a quick search. Most of the answers prior to mine were incorrect.
Thanks! have a nice day!

Also my truck should be here tomorrow night, 14 hour drive from them to me.

Scuba Steve, be sure to post us some pics of your truck. Checked out the website for the stock pics.
What is different about the "TX EDITION"?

I honestly haven't been able to figure out what the the Texas Edition is. The dealer told me it is just a general set-up they get with the 4x4 SCREW and all-terrain tires. I just knew it had all the options I had been looking for and it was $5k cheaper than my local dealer using an X-plan.
I will post some pics of it this weekend.

I see a TX EDITION badge on the back of the bed.
Maybe its a special package that gave some kind of discount.
Although i have a regular cab, the options packages are sim. the XLT Chrome package was more, but its discounted on yours.
