Buying 10 year old truck - F150 or Tundra?
Promise this is not just meant as click bait. I really like the recent model F-150's. They seem to have more features and responsiveness than recent Tundras. However, they are out of my budge so looking at 2012ish trucks which mostly have higher miles. Any thoughts on which route to go?
As always, thanks in advance!

If I were going to buy an older, high mileage truck it would be a Toyota. I've spent more money on repairs on my 2014 F150 than I have on my 2007 Tacoma with 222,000 miles on it. Granted, I've spent very little on the Ford, but next to nothing on the Tacoma.
Toyota is great to their customers. They replaced my leaf springs at 200,000 miles at no cost. I had a U-Joint go bad at 178,000 miles. I was in Arizona at the time and paid for the repair. Toyota apologized, reimbursed me, and told me that if any others went bad prior to 200,000 miles they would cover those as well. They also replaced a leaking rear window for me at no cost even though it was beyond the warranty period.
Around 400,000 miles on the original drivetrain is normal, and there are guys who have pushed both Tundra and Tacoma over 1,000,000 miles with no major parts replaced. You'll pay a little more for gas, but the money you save on repairs will more than offset that.

IMO a 10+ year old anything is all about how it has been taken care of. And miles driven. The type of miles makes a difference too. All highway? City?
