Default Buyer beware.

The tragic event in Texas mind blowing and humbling. That being said you will see the used car/truck market "flooded" pun intended with flood damaged vehicle's. Buyer beware, there are people who will attempt to disguise damage and history and bring to market.

Was thinking this earlier. Always get a Carfax. It will show at the very least where the vehicle was either titled, or delivered to from the factory, with dates.

And it won't just be in Texas either. There's a large salvage yard around me in Cincinnati that often get's "new" damaged vehicles from around the country, fixes them up and sells them. To their credit, they're always upfront about the damage the vehicle had. I've seen flood damage cars there before, and once they had a bunch of Tahoe's that were on a train when it de-railed.
