ok i did a little burn out in 00 f150 supercab 4x4. and after that i had to get on the brakes pretty hard. but when i got home from about 2 miles away i started smelling something but i shut it off then had my grandpa take it down the road. but the smell went away do you guys thank it was just the brakes or something that didn't get hurt or do you thank it was the tranny. any info will be appreciated o and the burn out was in 2wd.

hell no i didnt tell my grandpa but anyway do you guys think my truck is hurt or just got the smell from the brakes.

Sounds like you blew your tranny doing burn-outs...this is a common thing with young adults...also lying to your grand parents is a common thing with your age group. Brake smell...

Smell like burnt rubber? lol you can still smell that even after you drive miles after a burnout. When I was dumb (younger) enough to still do brake hold burnouts back when my dad owned my turck i could smell the rubber even 20 mins driving around town when i put it back in the garage.

But other than that you prob just cut the rear brake life in half.
