Default brighter reverse lights

I am looking to get some brighter reverse lights in my 2011 FX4. The stock lights really are dim and IT makes it hard to use my back up camera at night.

Anyone had any luck upgrading?

Unfortunately your gonna have to drop some coin on a aftermarket backup light kit like srm or srq from rigid.

There is no bulb that will make the stock lamps much brighter.

Everyone knows the stock lights suck.

My 2012 FX-4 & my 2014 4x4 Lariat back up lights are very bright. Something may be askew?
The first photo is grainy. Not clear at all. It looks like a wide angle.
I would check the Camera angle on yours or spend the money?.
Good Luck.

I have to disagree. Maybe in a city under street lights they are ok.

I have to get my girlfriend to get out and look if I'm backing up while 4x4 in the dark.

It does help a bit if you keep the camera lens clean.

I can't wait to install the SRM kit I have.

I'm sure the SRM Kit will work better for you in the Dark.
I do have street lights where I live. I will have to experiment under warmer weather conditions.
Food for thought.

I bought a backup lamp that hangs under the bumper, and wired it into the trailer wiring. In hindsight I should have bought two tractor lamps, or fog lamps.
