Brake problems on 2011 F150 platinum ecoboost
Hello, I am new to the forum I have a 2011 f150 ecoboost that seems to have major braking issues at speeds over 55 mph. It feels like the vehicle comes to gliding stop. The brakes don't seem to have enough stopping power when slamming on the brakes at high speeds. 3 people at the dealer drove the truck and recognize the issue, however both they and ford say it is simply a characteristic of the vehicle. Any thoughts? Anyone with the same issue?

OEM pads might not have enough bite when hot.
Was it really hot? Or does it matter what the temp is?
Brakes are no joke, I wouldn't wait for the dealership I would be buying the best set of pads I can find.

Mine is that way all the time. 1500 miles on the truck. It stops OK but I did notice a difference between it and the 2 rental trucks. Takes more pressure on the pedal in mine. Have a friend that just bought a new F150 so I will drive both trucks and see if threre is any difference. You may be right about replacing the pads myself. Its one of those things that may be a pain to get the dealer to correct. Sounds like the OP has been going through that already.

Boost :)
Brand new truck needs to be taken in and left there until they fix it. I have driven 5 different 2011 trucks in various trim levels and none of them had this problem, including the one I bought. If a tech recognizes it as a problem, then something needs to be done to fix it. If they can't, then on to the next dealer.

While yes that would help, he shouldn't be having the problems to begin with. Upgrading to something else when it's not working properly to begin with isn't necessarily going to be the best solution.
