best way to make it louder
Hey, i have a 2013 f150 sxt V6 and i am looking at straight pipeing it, i took the catalinic converter off yesterday and really liked how it sounded with that and the muffler off, so i would like to bypass the exhaust and cat, what is the best way to do this? The thing that threw me off is the pipe is welded to the muffler so i would have to cut that off,

Congratulations. By federal law it's now illegal to operate on public roads.

The end result won't be ear pleasing, IMO.

Did you drive it with all of the exhaust removed, because the problem the Mustang V6 has is Drone with no Mufflers, Drone from no Cats, Drone from no Resonator and doing expensive modifications to get rid of the drone from either or all of the 3 being removed..
Plus as Gone Postal said it is against Federal law to operate with no/modified emissions with expensive fines if caught. Also after all that and you get caught and it gets impounded you are still paying for it and cannot get it out until it is street legal again and it cannot be sold without the OEM or OEM replacements in the OEM location Legally.

Best way to do it, if you are dead set on this would be cut outs. This would allow you the loud sound when you want it, and not be so annoying all the time. I drove my 95 with no muffler for a few hundred miles back in the day. I was off roading and the muffler fell off. So I drove it home that way. Sounded super awesome for the 1st 40 miles or so. Then I got on the highway and it was so loud in the cab that we had to yell to hear each other. Got it fixed the next day.

If you simply want to make more noise than stock, get an aftermarket free flowing muffler of some sort.
