Best wax or a black truck

There is an entire section of the forum, which I linked to, plus numerous sites like www.Autogeek.net, that are devoted to how to take care of the look of your truck, with endless videos and discussions of black paint.

What is the concensus on the easiest color paint to take care of ? Shows the least dirt, scratches, swirl marks, etc ?

On forums, people generally don't agree on anything. And, when they do agree on something, it's usually not based on fact - it's based on rumor, belief, etc.
I strong suggest you visit the Autogeek site I suggest and do some reading and watching of videos. They are EXPERTS. They state FACTS.
Myself, I would never buy another dark color, like black or dark green (current Fusion Hybrid) again in my life. I would also not ever own a white or similar car. I like Ruby Red Metallic, which has that extra layer that other paints don't have. It looks great all the time (opinion, not fact).

I love the ruby red but as a current of a ruby red 2016 Escape the paint is no tougher than any other ...
black and white are the most common sold colors, I don't like either but would and did choose black over white.
my Lesabre isbthat tan/ gold color and doesn't show scratches or dirt much...
my van is silver,,, that too doesn't show as much...
that being said NOTHING shines or shows depth like black or dark colors

Silver is the color least likely to show dirt or scratches. Had a few of them over the years and they were the cleanest looking and really had to be dirty to show dirt. My favorite color though is Tuxedo Black. When clean, very dark, but because of the metallic in it, when it got dusty, it still looked clean. Compared to a solid black, you could dust them both and the solid would look dirty while the TB looked clean.

Having come from a black car, I found a solution to the swirls. Meguires #7. It is a glaze that fills in the swirl marks. Then follow up with a good wax. It will look like it is wet when finished. Black cars require a lot of work, but they do look great when clean and no swirls.
