I have a 2012 Screw 4X4 in Platinum Tri-White Metallic. It's parked outside 24/7 and no covered parking where I work.
I currently have 3 coats of Collinite 845 insulator wax on my truck topped with a sealant/wax mixture which might be overkill but I live close to the ocean. Collinite alone is fantastic! Bird droppings come off with ease and doesn't etch my paint, it has good sheeting action when rinsing while washing, it beads nice and tight after a rain, the list is endless.
There is a shop here at Sand Island called the Pak Shak, check them out. They also have a website and a forum also.

I hand wash my truck 1-2 times a week or if been raining alot. If the weathers been nice I'll use a QD sprayed heavily on my truck and on a microfiber towel and wipe in one direction instead of a back and forth to reduce micro marring my paint then, buff with another microfiber.

Sorry, didn't know you were on Maui, I live on the windward side of O'ahu. Check out the Pak Shak online. Their forum has a few people who live on Maui, one who details as a business and is very helpful and knowledgeable. I've seen pictures of his work, Awesome! He could probably help you.
Prep is the Key. I've clay barred, iron x'ed, clay barred again, polished, all before applying my first coat of Collinite 845 on my truck. I usually wipe my truck daily and try not to go any longer than 3 days without cleaning my truck.
