Default Stutter from exhaust at 1500rpm

I'm trying to sort out what's causing my problem here.
it's a 2001 5.4L with 140K miles. Had all of the plugs, fuel line and filter, and brakes replaced earlier this year. In the last 2 months I've noticed she's knocking in the engine or there's a knock when she idles. I changed the oil again just in case and made sure she was full. I checked the air filter. Can't seem to find anything.

Had a mechanic look at it and he said everything checks out. Now the knock is a little louder and when I accelerate past 1500rpm there's a stutter that sounds like it's coming from the exhaust. When she's idle and I rev her there's nothing. the stutter or machine gun sound lasts until i go above 3000rpms or she switches gears and drops below 1500 again.

I have spent the last 2 days looking for something that might indicate what's wrong but can't find anything. THought about removing the muffler and just running straight pipe.

Anyone have any suggestions?
