Default Best bed cover for active lifestyle

Any recommendation for a bed cover that will still allow easy bed access for my mountain bike and dirt bike? Would it have to be removed to be able to still place front wheels against the bed?

Some type of roll up cover might work best for you. I prefer the soft tri-fold and then it can easily be completely removed if you want to haul anything.

Had a retrax pro mx on my tundra. just bought a ford platinum f150 and already have a retrax pro mx on order. I tow a bass boat all over for small tournaments and couldn't live without it. anytime my wife and I take our kid on vacations, I just throw all the crap in the bed and lock it and move on. I don't know how much the wheel sticks up but could hit the section that stores the hard cover when it rolls up. I also had a roll n lock and leaked all the time so went with retrax pro mx and didn't regret it.

Bak Revolver aka Roll X. Have had one on my truck for years, love it. You can get your bikes in easily without interference and it does not block the rear view mirror like the fold up do, easily roll and unroll one handed and is fairly secure. The tailgate has to be open to roll it open, nearly water proof and low profile. They claim evenly distributed it can support 400lbs of weight, it is a hard roll up not soft, just looks soft.

thanks for the suggestions! We usually are in my truck everywhere we go so now packing for the new baby, the wife, and the dogs is too much for the back seat/floor area.

I have the Extang Revolution and it has worked great for me. Its almost waterproof. A couple drips at the end by tailgate. Real easy to roll up and back and it works great with my dirt bike.

The diamond back tonneau is the most solid solution but you’d have to remove it for a dirt bike.

Soft tri-fold... A lot less expensive than the hard ones and you can fold 2/3rd or remove it completely and easily if need be.

If you're not worried about asshats with sharp objects trying to steal things, a roll-up vinyl cover is the simplest and cheapest option, will keep things mostly dry, and is super-easy to deal with for loading bikes and such. I have the uber-cheap version ($125 no-name cover from eBay) that's starting to show signs of wear after about a year (stitching is meh, had to reattach one of the support cross-beams, closing it is a bit more finicky than it originally was) but is still functional. The slightly more expensive roll-ups with a brand name and warranty would presumably hold up better.
