It looks like good stuff! I saw a couple things about it before I got mine Line-x ed but it was so new, nobody knew much about it. I went with Line-x a few months ago. Maybe next truck.

I want to mount a Core Trax CT36S tie down track and wonder how it will interface with the BedRug Ultra. Also, what is the shipping weight of the liner package? I don't want something really heavy and would like to have an idea of its bulk. I suspect it is relatively light. Thanks for any info you are able to share.
Update Jan 14, 2017:

Installed my Bedtred and Core Trax this week. It went well considering we didn't quite reach the recommended installation temperature here in Maine! I too am pleased with how nicely the lights and switch appear in the finished product. Also, after finding out how slippery the factory bed surface is with snow on it, I really appreciate the textured surface of the BedTred.

I had a lot of trouble with removing the first light, but found some posts on this forum for help. The light switch has limited clearance between the wire connector and the switch flange, so installing it with the extra thickness of the BedTred is challenging.

I cut off a strip of BedTred at the top of the bulkhead and installed the Core Trax on the vertical face of the bulkhead (I planned on this so I didn't install the top piece of velco). There is no access to install nuts for the 1/4-20 flat head screws used to secure the track, so I installed aluminum rivet nuts from the front. I used aluminum rivnuts (MASTER RIVNUT: AKL250-20-165 from Amazon), as recommended by Ford, to prevent galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals. However, to my surprise it is impossible to rent a rivnut installation tool in my area, but I found a simple manual tool online (AVK - 1/4-20, Manual Threaded Insert Installation Tool Mfr Part #: AAT916-420 from mscdiect.com).

I want to put a bedtred in my 2014 but the bed is already pretty scratched up from the previous owner. Would I need to repaint the bed first? The idea of moisture trapped between the bedtred and that scratched bed makes me nervous.

I would definitely recommend sealing the scratches in your steel bed before installing the BedTred. You might consider using Amsoil ORMD Heavy Duty Metal Protector (Item No. AMHSC) after wire brushing the scratches. It takes a few days to dry tacky, but would probably work well to prevent rust under the liner. I read about the product on the Raptor forum and am using it on non-aluminum parts under my truck.

...I too am wondering if anyone has installed an OEM bed extender with either a Bedtred or Bedrug? If so, please share your thoughts / tips / pics.

Thanks!!

I just bought a 2017 demo model, which has some bed scratches. Been doing lots of research about bed protection, and am strongly favoring the BedTred Ultra, but I want to ensure that by using a "drop-in" style rather than a spray, that I won't have trouble down the road with water underneath the liner since the bed is already scratched up. I noticed you specifically stated to seal the scratches in this persons "steel bed", but since mine is aluminum, I'm assuming it will be okay as is. Ideally, I'd go ahead and put a Line-X in first, but I've seen multiple mentions of the Bedrug/Bedtred not fitting properly or adhering properly. Does anyone have first hand experience with putting a Bedrug/Bedtred in a scratched aluminum box? I'm planning on asking Bedrug themselves as well.
