Quite a bit has changed at Bak since last year. The company was sold to a larger company called THI and things have improved in every way. THI's commitment to improve the quality of Bak's covers and response of customer service has been very encouraging for me. Oscar is now Frankie, Julian is gone, and BakFactoryOutlet.com is now TonneauFactoryOutlet.com because we are now specializing in not just Bak covers, but Retrax and Truxedo as well.

The Roll-X generation 2 will be called the RevolverX2 coming 6/1. We are still offering 7 day a week world class customer service. Live chat has become a very popular communication tool for us as well. Stop by and check us out if you are looking for a new high quality tonneau at a very competitive price for your new or older truck. We are accepting pre-orders for the new RevolverX2 with no payment until 5/22. Check out the new RevolverX2 here:

Thanks,
Morrie

Default Bak Roll-X Problems / Concerns

I have a problem with mine that I otherwise love. I live in south Texas and it gets very hot in the summer. On the inside the liner that covers the aluminum started sag down and would stick to everything in the bed and more! I tried multiple things to reapply it and make it look nice but nothing. Until one night when I was getting things unloaded and had a rough day and anyways ended up cutting it off. Big mistake as now when I roll it up you can hear skin sizzle in the heat of summer! I put the truck in shows and I am to the point of replacing it but figured I'd ask y'all first if you sell the material and adhesive so I can keep this and make it still look nice? Thank you in advance!

Default Felt Separating from bottom of cover

Sorry for your troubles with the felt. This was an issue we saw quite a bit of early on, however the covers were replaced under warranty and the adhesive was improved for the very tough heat from the aluminum. If you purchased your cover for us, please send me some pics along with your full name so we can locate your order. morrie@dinamitetbs.com

If you purchased from another site, you can email your pics to frankie@bakindustries.com along with your date of purchase and the dealer you purchased from. There is no way that I know of to fix this issue, the cover must be replaced. I hope this information helps you resolve your issue.

Default Bak Roll-X Problems / Concerns

Well to be honest I got it off of craigslist so no warranty. Guess I'll just use gloves to roll it up until I can replace it with something else! Thank you and have a great day!

Shoot. Really want the new Revolver. Been holding off on getting a cover just for this, for my recently purchased 2015. Looks like it slide out from the original May date I was given by Bak.

For little money you should be able to fix for yourself.
Browse McMaster-Carr for a bit. http://www.mcmaster.com
Do search for high temp tape. Look at the cloth versions.

If you prefer, search for high temp adhesives and use your own material.

Just be careful to give yourself slack in the material at the joints and don't put adhesive in the joints so they still move good.

Different size bed length? I imagine the 5.5 bed cover would be cheaper due to less material used in construction. Just a swag.
