Greg: Your post is a little vague for me to understand. Do you not like the video or does the link not work. I re-posted the link and checked it, so please try again. If you just don't like the video, then I would appreciate your input as to what you don't like. I appreciate your input...

That's why there's a shortage of info out there. I know that Morrie jumped the gun a bit, as he believed the product would be ready and that's unfortunate. I just want to lend assurance that I will make it up to all of you that have held out for the Roll-X. Herewith follows a status update:

The Roll-X was scheduled to release about a month ago, however the BAK brand is at stake with this product, and if we're going to hinge our reputation on a new product, it's vital that the product be outstanding on all fronts. The Roll-X is a real advancement in tonneau technology and we need to do this right! That said, BAK was not completely happy with the security aspect of the original design, so we moved to a superior locking design which required retooling. That took place about 6 weeks ago. The first new Roll-X models (with the new design) will be tested over the next week, at which time (barring problems) the product will be released. I can tell you that having seen what I wave seen, the Roll-X is an incredible product.

For those that don't want to continue to wait, I will make sure to extend a very good deal to you on a BakFlip F1. For those that have shown extreme patience, I will make sure to personally extend an additional deep discount to you on the Roll-X when it comes out. Just email me or call me at (818) 365-9000.

In the meantime, we will be opening up BAK's official website to the public later this week (perhaps even today). It will have lots more info on the Roll-X.

Thanks again,

Julian Maimin - COO
BAK Industries

Thank you, Julian, for taking time to alleviate some, if not all, of our concerns about this product. I started this thread hoping to receive a response from Bak, but never thought it would have been you of all people. I really appreciate the thoughtfulness and effort you are giving your customers. Please keep us up to date as possible because I know the F150Forum crew will be out in force to try out your new product.

Can you supply me your email so we can stay in touch on the special pricing you mentioned above (in a PM is acceptable)?

Thanks again,

Eric White

Well I posted this thread link to Julian in another thread and he took the time to follow the link, come here, and give us the info. That is much appreciated and makes it a lot easier to continue to wait for the roll-x.

Thanks again Julian.

Well WOW...! My wife and I had our heart set on the tri-fold Extang and now there's THIS! What a neat product! Wonder how much weight it can safely support when rolled out and covering the bed?!?! Any figures or ideas on eventual cost?

I had an Extang roll up on my ranger and hated it in the winter time. Then got a tri fold for it. I now got the f150 and think I might be getting this. Good find.
