Default back up camera & sensor seem out of sync

Hello all,
I have a new 2017 Lairat with the back up camera and sensors. I have noticed something different on this truck's set up when compared to my previous 2017 Escape Titanium, and my wife's 2016 Focus SE that have the similar feature.
The sensor lines don't seem to match the back up camera lines colours.
green camera line = green sensor line
yellow camera line = yellow sensor line
red camera line = red sensor line
This is what it did do on my Escape and my wife's Focus, but it doesn't for my new Lariat.
Ive included a photo of what I'm speaking about. As you can see the empty planter is closer to the truck than the garage door. The planter is touching the red line of the camera, and definitely within the yellow zone, however it shows green in the sensors, and seems to reflect that the object is much farther away than what it is in reality.
thoughts?

I'd place a guess being the fact the rear end of your truck is much higher off the ground than your other vehicles. That planter looks to be only 2.5 bricks tall looking at the house. Probably would be able to park with the rear bumper above it.

Try again with a 5 gallon bucket. I'm curious about this.

Put total faith in the sensors and keep going until you hear a crunch. (JK!)

I'm with Rnl on this one (again.) I don't believe, but can't say for certain, that the camera lines and sensors are intentionally synchronized. Model to model and build variation would make it hard to keep that linked up.

I, too, am interested in the results!

It's showing a yellow warning in the pic with the truck but it's on the wrong side, lol. weird.
