First add on accessory?
Hey All
As a brand spanking new 2013 F-150 SuperCrew XLT owner I was wanting to find out what you added to your new ride first. What was your first addon accessory?
I figured I had better get the additions before my first payment becomes due.
I am planning to add bed cover, leaning toward foldable cover rather than fabric cover. Best advise? Also would you suggest adding spray on liner along with top? Or would that just be a waste.
Thanks
jim

it depends on if it's a need or want? mine was both on the spray in bed liner I negotiated with the dealer to throw in. before doing it, I removed the tailgate handle and installed the flat plate so it can all be even. getting tint tomorrow morning.

The first thing I did was get rid of the terrible Ford FX4 running boards that you can't hardly get a foot on and replaced them with Amp Research Powersteps. That made the truck look much better and made getting in and out much more comfortable. Not to mention, it will help to reduce wear on the seats! I also added Weathertech mud flaps to add the protection lost by removing the fixed running boards. They look and fit great.
Second thing I did was install a Roll-x lockable roll up tonneau cover. It rolls almost completely out of the way with one hand and doesn't obstruct the view out the window too bad when rolled up. It looks great, fits great and keeps my gear dry and relatively secure in the bed.
Both great additions that make this really nice truck even better.

When I bought my '12 used, it already had a BedRug and a BakFlip G2 folding cover. I hadn't planned that, but I love both of them. So much that when I get my '13 I bought another BedRug and moved my BakFlip over to the new one.

Boost :)
WeatherTech floor mats has been first on the last 3 trucks of mine and last 2 SUV's my wife has had. It has saved us both several times with spills and other problems that became no problem at all because of those mats.

Oh ya, mine came with the weathertechs too. Love them. Great for camping on the beach!

Five-0 Ret.
Rugged Liner rear wheel well liners, a tail gate assist, and Weather Tech mud flaps that I brought over from my previous truck. That plus some emblem overlays are the extent of my mods. Welcome to the forum, congrats on the new truck. Enjoy.

weathertech floor mats!
For me it was weathertech floor mats. They're made a rubber/plastic like material and completely cover the floor of your truck. They are molded to fit perfectly around the bottom of your seats and sit perfectly on the floor. I have two pitbulls and a 5 year old son = messy combination. If you have dogs, and they travel inside your truck from time to time, these are a must.
