Default Anyone fish?

Hey guys, who here fishes? If so post up pics of how you carry your rods in the truck. With my new truck I only got the 5.5ft bed and I hate just throwing the rods and reels in there to roll around especially when you invest a good chunk of change in them.

So post pics of your setups.

No set up. I just put them in the front of the cab and let them extend between the seat towards the back

Search for a member "Tunaslayer" he has a pretty damn nice set up/rod holder he builds. You can check his design out and perhaps mimic it.

There's ALOT of easy rod holders. My personal favorite, 1' long pieces of PVC pipe. At about a 45* angle bolted to the SIDES of the toolbox, inbetween the box and the bed. Can put up to 6-8 poles like that. The PVC doesn't waste space or get broken off of the toolbox.

And down here by the ocean, where everyone has 12-14' long poles. They can put them in there without worrying about snapping them all off.

I have rod socks kinda like this http://www.cabelas.com/fishing-rod-t...:referralID=NA They're nice because it keeps dirt out of the reels but doesn't really protect them from smashing. It's hard to fit rods in the bed so I usually put them in the boat. Or, if my we're going out in my buddies Chevy, he has a false wooden floor with slide out boxes in his 8' bed so we just keep our rods in those.

There's a bunch of ways to skin the cat, the easiest and safest would be to keep them in a boat, but not everyone has a boat or a tool box to mount them too. I'd say get a rod sock or a PVC tube and lay it down diagonally in your bed.

BTW, nice boat Imavol!
