moose you can never predict which way they are going to go once they step onto the road, it scares me a lil bit but, i dont usually dont run into many like sightings on or off the road, but my brother almost hit one doing about 65-70 as soon as he stepped on the gas, and i was in the truck with him

Hammered a whitetail doe deer many years ago with my {at the time }, near new '71 VW Super Beetle . Tore up both front fenders, bumper, hood, and cracked the windshield . Forgot what the cost of the damage was, but the deer tumbled across the road, and ran off into the woods They are one tough tough animal

I hit one in my 82 Toyota Tercel. I was driving about sixty on the road i lived on at the time. It was 11:00 PM on a week night so no one was out. I came over a little knoll and there were some Deer off to my right. I went to hit my brakes but a 120 lb Doe bolted across the road. It flew a LONG way. My car crumpled like tin foil. All the damage was on the front drivers side. Fixed it with a sledge hammer and a roll of duct tape to hold in a new light.
Hit one in my buddys lifted chevy truck on the same road at 4 in the morning. He was driving about 70 and had a brush guard. The doe weighed about 170. She was a big doe, we think she was pregnant. The bambi basher saved the front of his truck. It bent back and broke his blinker, thats it. It took three of us to load it.

My Grand Dad and I were coming coming back from his girlfriends house at 2 in the morning. We topped a bridge and there was a horse standing right in th middle of the road. We were in his 1986 ford f150 supercab, broke all the bone on the right side of the horse and did minimal damage to his truck. Thank god for home made brush guards . we use drill pipe from oil rigs to make the bumper and 1/2 plate steel for the actual guard.
