Anyone else hate modern features?

I do agree in most part...but I do like the back up camera!
Sync is **** and never works!
Nav? most of the places I go don't even show up on the Nav...I must have the F150 amphibious truck cuz it sometimes shows me in middle of a lake.
Adaptive cruise control? Just stay awake and watch the road...thats what I do.
Back up assist? turn your head!
BLIS should be BS because all it is is an annoying light in the mirror which in traffic is basically on all the time...again...shoulder check.
Someone was commenting on RWD and thats great except most dont work on our trucks - and if it is working chances are your window exploded.
Start Stop - nope dont want it either.
OP...Heres what you want...

I'm torn. The new tech is cool, no denying that.
My 07 has heated seats...that's it. Manual folding mirrors and had the crappy 6 disc changer. No sat radio. I installed a fancy radio because, well, Bluetooth and stuff is nice.
The wife's car, loaded with gadgets and gizmos. Sync is...ehh...hit or miss and the back-up camera cuts in and out. My fear is buying a car loaded with tech, warranty expiring then being out a large sum of money to repair it.
I'm supposed to be obsessed with technology lol. I like playing with the tech in new cars and the features are amazing. Fun to play with. My fear is the longevity of the technology. Little sensors here and there failing, causing BLIS or other systems to act wonkey. Rain sensing wipers eventually deciding to do their own things. Smartphones (at least in my experience) last like two years before they start bugging out so it leaves me worried about car tech.. Just a BLIS tail light is what...500 or so? That was a rambling post. Give me a choice and hell yeah, I'm walking out the door with a new KR, but a part of me would always wonder when the fancy stuff is going to start crapping out.

Ford kept sending us brochures about technology insurance or something for her car, almost wish I bought into it

Complaining about modern technology by comparing it to a vehicle 20 years ago is ridiculous. You must realize that same vehicle 20 years ago was considered high tech with the most modern technology available at the time. A brand new 1998 F-150 with it's OHC V8 engine, electronically controlled 4 speed automatic transmission, air bags, anti-lock brakes, aerodynamic styling, rear opening super cab door, and many other features made it the most advanced truck you could buy. Now it's considered old tech and simple but then it was like nothing else on the road. I'm sure in 2038 somebody will be yearning for the more simple less complicated 2018 F-150.

But on the buttons, that's still redundancy. Just get rid of the touchscreen buttons if people want actual buttons!
But Ford has to satisfy the working guy and the mall run guy with the same vehicle. So buttons for the working guy, touchscreen for the geeks.
It is called giving the customer what he wants.
Now imagine how much whining there would be if they removed all the buttons. Do you think it would be more whining or less whining than there was about the fact that Ford did not put a low windshield washer fluid warning on the truck. For real.
Look what happens when Ford leaves a tech feature off the truck.

I have an XL and it has all that stuff. Power windows, door locks with remote, sync 3, camera, cruise, radio controls on wheel, bluetooth, phone on wheel, etc. No more plain trucks anymore.

When I was a kid a fancy truck had carpet, AM radio and an automatic transmission. Things have changed a little since then.
