I am looking for anyone with a 2019 F-150 XLT for your thoughts, opinion, of the Halogen headlights.

I drove a 19 with the halogen lights and I thought they were pretty bad compared to my 16 with the LED's. I know there is a huge cost difference but I expected better from a brand new truck when a Corolla comes standard with LED's now.

Thanks for your thoughts. I guess I will find out as soon as my second house sells and I pick up my 2019. I sure wish it came with HID like my 2018 Pacifica Limited did. They are like flame throwers. Maybe I will just have to upgrade when I find out for myself.

If you have to drive around with your fogs on all the time, doesn't that tell you the regular halogens are insufficient

Can't Ford put decent headlights on these trucks now?

maybe i could care less. these aftermarket light systems aren't going to hold up like the factory will. the aftermarket bulbs burn hotter and shorten the lifespan of the housing. ill keep running fog because they automatically turn on when my headlights turn on and i know that my housing will last as long as possible. maybe in 10 years when the housing is wore out ill upgrade them to led.

Agree, I have a 2018 F150 XLT - FX4 and the stock halogen headlights are a BIG disappointment. As someone previously mentioned, evening driving with fog lights on all the time as I do now is a definitive indication of the level of SUCKNESS the standard headlights have, thank you Ford. I will not pay the huge amount of money to upgrade the OEM housings so that I can go to LED's although some of the aftermarket offerings are substantially less. I am curious to see what others have done moving to LED with non-OEM, can it all be done for under $1000.00?

I purchased my F-150 on March 5th. Waited until dark to check out the headlights. I would say they are "OK" but do leave something to be desired. They sure are not the HID flame throwers on my 2018 Pacifica for sure. I say they are "OK" because I drove several Caravans and they always had the worst headlight EVER put on a car, truck, or van.
The Ford design idiot that used the low beam headlight for the DRL should be put out to pasture.
