Truck owner

I was hoping to hear from the owners of the F150 with the Max Tow package and the 3.73 rear and if you also have the off-road package. Just your likes/dislikes about this model, is the gear ratio still good on highway driving. Looking at this truck and wasnt sure of the downsides to this set-up..Any feedback welcome!!

I've got the Max Tow with the 3.73 with the FX4 (offroad package). I have no problems with it. I pull a trailer maybe 5% of the time (holiday trailer) so was unsure if the 3.73 would be worth it. No complaints so far. I get 14.5 L/100km average right now (80/20 city/highway) without the trailer. Solely on the highway I have gotten down to 10.2 L/100 km.

Love mine with the 3.73. Dont believe it hurts mileage bad at all. Did a 600 mile trip across COLO passes and all and still averaged 19.5 mpg. The difference between the 3.55 and 3.73 is very small as lots of threads here state. Watch the drive thru's with the dumbo mirrors. My only complaint is the passenger side mirror has the distorted mirror which seems dumb when there is a huge blind spot mirror right under it. The distortion makes hooking up to a trailer that much more difficult.
