Default Another Dealer Price Question..

Hey y'all,
I'm looking to get another truck for work while the deals are in. I am looking at a 2014 reg cab 6.5ft bed XL with the 101A power package. Also want the 3.7 with 2 wheel drive since I will be driving 200-220 miles a day. I have seen some "online deals" for $21,600 and I'm trying to keep it as low as humanly possible. What's the cheapest any of you have been able to get one for?

RC XL's with the 3.7 are selling for $22,300 (MSRP $27,200) and change in my area of North Carolina, so you're in the ballpark there.

2WD Supercrew XLTs with 5.0 and EB are going down here for 12-14k off. I guess there's less room on XLs, but 5-6k off seems kinda weak to me.

Comparing K$ off an XLT to an XL is meaningless.

IMO % off MSRP is the only consistent comparison.

20% off MSRP is typical.

25% off MSRP is a good deal.

30% off MSRP is an excellent deal.

^ that's why I said there's (potentially) less room on an XL versus XLT, but % doesn't work either. People can only get about 14k off on Platinums, Limiteds, and KRs, just like they get 14k off MSRP on XLTs. You'd think percentage would make more sense and be more accurate, but it isn't.

I've been paying attention to how much people have been paying for these for about 16 months. Seems like Texas generally has the best prices in the country, but all gulf coast states are better than anything up north.

I just traded my 13 XLT packaged regular cab in.
I got 21,000. He's got it on the lot now for 22,253. Not much of a markup.

New, I gave 23,000.

Here’s an idea of what discounts are available in California.

Exclamation

Unfortunately, dealers use discounts and incentives that all buyers might not qualify for.

like in that ad.

trade-in
ford credit
military discount

the crooked ford dealer around here (Ford of Murfreesboro) also figures in a $500 discount for having Farm Bureau Insurance, to arrive at the big discount amount.

Thanks everyone. I found one with the 101A for 21,400 OTD so I put $150 down until I am ready to bite the bullet next week!
