Question Ambient lights 2018 F150 platinum with 701A package

All,
I am proud first time owner of an F150, owned a ford ranger long time ago. I have a quick question. Does the platinum trim come with ambient lights? I see lights in the front cup-holder. I see lights on the overhead console and they do not work. I was just wondering if someone else with Platinum F150 can give me an idea as to where the ambient lights are?

Thanks in advance.

Sanjay

I have a lariat supercab with the ambitent lights. They are in the doors, footwells, and in the cupholders. The lights only come on if you have your running lights/ nighttime lights on. In the settings of your nav unit you should be able to see the ambient lighting selection that lets you dim/ brighten and change the color

From what I understand they are blue only in 2018, prior years were multicolored and can be changed via the SYNC screen.

In my F150, under the settings section there is nothing for Ambient lighting.

Yep, you can have any color you want in the 2018 as long as it's blue you want.

So they downgraded for 2018? That seems kinda dumb on their part thats one of my favorite options. My 2017 Fusion has the multicolor. If you cant see the setting maybe you do just have the one color. Try turning on your running lights and looking in the footwells and cupholder

The option can be added back in with FORSCAN, however, you will still need to buy 2015-2017 harnesses to get the colored LEDs and install those. Some are easy to change, others are more difficult and require removing trim pieces and panels. Details are in the link.
