Default Aluminum body

How safe is the new aluminum body on the F150? What’s going to happen in a crash? Who cares about weight when is not strong enough during a crash.

What do you mean, strong enough? Do you really think the company would compromise safety for less weight? The frame is still made of steel and the IIHS rates it as a Top Safety Pick...

Please stop listening to the GM truck owners who swear the alum F150's are not safe.. When GM makes their truck bodies alum(and they will) they will then say its the best thing in the world..

It's very safe in a crash from literally any direction... The following picture shows what alloy of aluminum is used in each part, the link has a better description of everything including why they chose a specific alloy for each area. Aluminum is actually very strong when mixed with other metals and properly heat treated.

Below is a link to a Youtube video from IIHS showing the F-150 crash tests compared to other trucks on the market.

It's the worst design ever. Crumples under light gusts of wind and get 2 MPG. Don't hit speed bumps with it, the aluminum panels will fall right off

I've seen the videos and i've seen its rated as one of the best, I do not see follow or belive other brands truck owners, I ask here just to know what actual F150 owners think.
I appreciate all of your comments, trolls or not, i can handle bullying I was born on the 70's so bring it i dont care.
Thanks you all.
