Could they have said they replaced the door switch and possibly just removed, inspected, cleaned and re-installed it?

Not to sure if they actually did replace it or not but they did look up what was faulting in and it was the door switch they called me Yesterday said it hasn't done it yet and I pretty much told them if it's not the door switch it's the wiring harness or the main control unit.. Said I'm not taking it back till its fixed and when I do I'm going to have it in writing saying since this is a pre existing problem it will be covered 100% in the future once my warranty is up.

I haven't checking anything but they did say they looked up the faults on the computer and never said anything about a hood switch but who knows..

I am actually having a similar problem as well. Dealer can't find anything wrong. The alarm will go off one day and then maybe a week or day later. Very random and driving me crazy!!

I had mine act up again about 4-5 months ago took it to the same dealer they looked at it but wouldn't do any work to fix it because they couldn't recreate the problem. I got corporate involved they recommend taking it to another dealer so I did and they I guess cleaned up a plug somewhere in a main harness and it hasn't done it since but I'm not going to hold my breath. Seems like every time they do something to fix it it ends up acting up months later.. good luck If you have no luck with the dealership just call ford corporate and get a case started. My biggest complaint is the problem exists and it's been a problem at the begging of my warranty but what sucks is now that's pretty much done so I'm not sure how likely they will be willing to work on it in the future without me paying for it.

Thanks for the info. The dealer doesn't care unless they can reproduce it. Of course it's $120+/hr for them to do anything

This happened on my 2010 Lariat screw. It was THE most annoying thing that's ever happened to me. Every morning between 2a and 6a it would go off. The only way to stop it was disconnect the battery when it would wake me up. Finally one day just bought a new battery in a rage. What do you know. Knock on wood it's been 6 months and it hasn't happened again.

Check the hood latch-down sensor switch under the hood, bracket may be bent down and can be easily bent back up to contact the hood correctly, worked for me on my 2010 Expedition.

Default Could be the FOB

Does the alarm go off when you are in proximity of the truck? It could be your key fob. I've heard of cases in which the security button was overly sensitive and merely jostling the fob could set it off.
