Default Air shocks on a lifted truck

Have a 93 flare side. Has a 3" pro comp lift but shocks are pretty much gone. I was wondering if you can put air shocks on a lifted truck, like Monroe or the Gabriel Highjacker air shocks? Not looking at the air bags can't spend to much as of now.

Not sure about the specifics because I've never played with air shocks, but I came to say that the $60-70 pairs you see are kits without the compressor, which is by far the most expensive part of any air suspension. When you compare air shocks to air bags, you are probably looking at the exact same price after you include a compressor.
